Tōtara Weekly Reflection
Term: 1 Week: 4
Something I am proud of from camp …
The thing I am most proud of is the giant swing, because I didn't want to release the cord but I closed my eyes and pulled the string. I was so happy I did because when I opened my eyes I looked out and there was an amazing view even though the thick fog and heavy raindrops.
A highlight from camp for me was …
Abseiling because I was able to climb the tree and go back down easily even though on the way there I was stung. I think that getting stung was better because it was more motivating to get to the top.
What challenged me over last two weeks?
Adjusting to the work and homework because it is a lot different to last years. The work challenged me because I need to find time to do it all and learn to get my head down and get on with it more, Since I am getting behind rather than ahead.
How did I overcome these challenges or what do I need to do to overcome them in the
future?
By sitting by myself or sitting with people that don't distract me from my work. This could help because then I could get on with my work.future?
This fortnights Tōtara goal was active listening and I achieved/showed this by…
Not talking to my friends on the mat and when the teacher is talking I turn around and look in their general direction.
Next week I would like to achieve in class is…
Getting my reading task done by Wednesday so I can focus on my other work.
